ABOUT JOHN HOLM

Born In Grants Pass, graduating from Hidden Valley, They moved on to Jackson County for bluer waters politically, they went to work over the years from fast food, newsstand manager, small business owner, grocery clerk for Safeway, ,real estate broker to taking care of their mother in her final years of her life so you could die at home. But they found their niche in life after being disabled as a political strategist who learned not only the Democratic way but also told their friends they had to see how the other side also worked and then went to learn their secrets. Trust us, it was one of the largest strains they ever had between keeping a straight face and holding emotions in check because they threw people out if they thought you were Democrat, to having to listen to the teachings and lobbyists tell them what they wanted. So the platform is based of what is learned from this and the forums held by asking people to tell what is wrong with the current governmental system.

I am not the Democrat you want but the candidate you need because I have listened when others just talked. So, let's start with something simple. The lobbyist told me that the pharmaceuticals clearinghouse for OR in early 2000's was clearing 50 million monthly in profits. My question is how much are they clearing today and how much could OR make if they did it instead? If they made 50 million a month that 600 million a year in the healthcare budget. I would wager it would be more.

Where do we put this windfall, we make? Corporate bank's lobbyist bragged less than 20% of depositors' monies stayed in state. I call BS and say this is why we need a state bank that is reinvesting our monies in ourselves. From home loans, auto loans to commercial loans as well as bonds for government entities like counties and schools. But my next item will be the real reason for reinvestment.

California wasted 40 billion on trying to get a high-speed train, I say we go to our own personal think tanks, our colleges and challenge them to make it by offering 85/15 patent deals on any new tech with OR getting the 15% so we consistly make that on every part made and used, we offer to build the businesses to make these trains for a cut till paid off to ensure living wages and to keep a smaller percentage so we ensure wages stay acceptable, keeping OR with a steady flow of income.
